The Quality Schools Program is a three year series of job-embedded professional development and intensive on-site coaching for teachers and school leaders looking to improve student achievement.  Through data-driven instruction and Professional Learning Communities, schools will create, implement, and sustain a systematic approach to Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, and Professional Development. After three years, schools will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to positively affect student learning and increase student achievement.

What We Offer

We partner with ATI-Galileo to provide assessments that are aligned to Arizona's standards. The benchmarks provide a data foundation for the Quality Schools Program.

These sessions are designed by teachers for teachers. We believe in the Live the Learning model where teachers learn best practices through guided problem solving sessions.

Coaching is vital to the Quality Schools Program. Our trainers visit each QSP campus at least 12 times to observe instruction, provide feedback and problem solve with administrative teams.

All QSP school leaders and teachers are invited to interact and network during our All Region PLC. It is a time to share best practices and resources with other teachers.

"In the 15 years of our existence, this is the best program that we have had the opportunity to present to our teachers. I know that if every school could participate in the Quality School Program that all charter schools would be an "A" rated school."

"The Quality Schools coach really took time to understand the unique program and helped develop data driven systems that met the school needs and most importantly, the needs of our students."

Mexicayotl Charter School has provided a dual language programs for students in Nogales since it opened in 1998.  In 2012, Mexicayotl’s leadership wasn’t satisfied with their school’s “D” ranking so they enrolled in the Center’s Quality Schools Program. The Center customized Mexicayotl’s data-driven professional development to its dual-language, intercultural program, seamlessly integrating strategies into teachers’ daily work. The results speak for themselves: Mexicayotl improved their A-F letter grade from a “D” to a “B” in one year. Mexicayotl is now an A rated school serving a very large, low income population.

“As one of the first charter schools I have not only witnessed our growth but also the start and incredible growth of the Center for Student Achievement. This amazing growth has been based on service and advocacy for all schools.”
